How Logistics Can Help Fashion Companies Advance Toward Net Zero Ambitions

As part of our mission to mobilise impact across the fashion ecosystem, Global Fashion Agenda will present the next in its online series of Masterclasses on 22 October 2024, 16.00 – 17.00 PM CEST.

Supported by Maersk, the event will address ‘How logistics can help fashion companies advance toward net zero ambitions’. The Masterclass provides a unique chance to take part in a broad discussion on how the fashion industry can address sustainability goals and decarbonisation opportunities within logistics. The audience will engage in an interactive dialogue with a diverse panel led by Global Fashion Agenda and including industry experts as guest speakers.

Masterclass content may broadly refer to the ‘Reverse Logistics for Circular Fashion Systems: An Exploration of Untapped Potential’ report, published by Global Fashion Agenda and supported by Insight Partner, Maersk. The objective is to provide tangible and actionable guidance, tools and knowledge to a broader industry audience, facilitating bold and urgent action for fashion to leverage logistics to advance toward net zero ambitions.

Speakers

    David Fischer

    Director of Logistics Sustainability & Packaging, Zalando

    Since joining Zalando in 2015, David Fischer has worked in various roles across Zalando Operations including as Executive PM to the Senior Vice President Customer Fulfillment. As Director Logistics Sustainability & Packaging he is responsible for decarbonisation, resource use minimization as well as climate adaptation of our fulfillment operations. Furthermore, Fischer leads Zalando’s inhouse packaging development and packaging operations teams. He reports directly to the Senior Vice President Fulfillment leads Zalando’s and is a member of the Group Senior Leadership Team as well as the Logistics Management Team. Fischer holds a Law degree as well as a MSc in Business.

    Kaisa Tikk

    Head of Commercial Sustainability, Maersk

    Kaisa Tikk is passionate about role modeling leadership to address urgency for solutions that contribute to more sustainable future. In her role as the Head of Commercial Sustainability, Tikk is responsible for driving the sustainability engagement with Maersk customers, guiding them in their journeys to decarbonise logistics while meeting their evolving needs. She has held different sustainability related roles in Maersk since joining the company in 2010 and prior to that worked both in private and third sector with marketing, youth development and education.

    Charlotte Pumford

    Regeneration Lead, Vivobarefoot

    Charlotte Pumford has over 11 years of experience working in sustainability across the textile and footwear sector, spanning global FTSE organisations, high-growth SME’s, local government and the management of a small-scale start-up when she founded her own brand in 2013. For the past 5 years, Pumford has been working at Vivobarefoot, a UK-based natural health brand making barefoot footwear and experiences that bring people closer to nature. Recognised by Edie in 2020 as one of the UK’s 30 under 30 sustainability leaders, Pumford is a passionate advocate for the protection of our natural world and believes business can be a force for change in identifying the regenerative solutions we need to address global challenges.
