The premium event will present fresh perspectives with an entirely new line-up of speakers and offer attendees unique online networking opportunities

27 May: Global Fashion Agenda, the foremost leadership forum for sustainability in fashion, has today revealed the theme for this year’s digital edition of the industry-renowned Copenhagen Fashion Summit – CFS+. Under the premise ‘Prosperity vs. Growth’, CFS+ will convene core stakeholders across fashion, interlinked industries, investment, NGOs and policy to explore how the industry can thrive today in favour of tomorrow.  Tickets for CFS+ have been released today, including a limited number of early bird tickets.

The event will take place on 7-8 October 2021 and is supported by principal sponsor, Avery Dennison. For the first time, it will welcome an entirely new line-up of voices that have never taken part in Copenhagen Fashion Summit before. The diverse array of speakers will offer fresh perspectives and their views will be presented in an engaging mix of content formats.

This year’s theme of ‘Prosperity vs. Growth’ is an evolution of last year’s focus, ‘Redesigning Value’, and will challenge the current fashion system even further by addressing a range of adjacent topics to foster constructive tension and dialogues that drive bold action.

CFS+ will be presented via an all-in-one online platform that is designed to not only stream content, but to stimulate tangible outcomes. Participants will experience an exclusive hybrid of pre-produced content and live sessions. Meanwhile, unique networking functions such as automatic ‘meeting roulettes’, and one-to-one meeting and messaging functions will enable industry players to connect directly with one another to discuss key industry topics, share knowledge and drive necessary action.

Plus, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the digital Innovation Forum, in which they can connect and meet with over 40 of the world’s leading solution providers that can support brands in their urgent journey towards increased sustainability performance.

Ticketholders will also gain exclusive on demand access to the CFS+ content archive for three months after the event, where they can re-live the insights and opinions shared during the live event.

Morten Lehmann, Chief Sustainability Officer, Global Fashion Agenda, says:

“This year we will address how the industry can thrive whilst creating prosperity for people and communities. We want to challenge the prevailing definition of growth and find a way for fashion to work within planetary boundaries, reverse its impact on climate change and protect biodiversity.  The digital format of CFS+ allows us to reach the industry across the globe and I am certain that the varied content and networking features will offer unrivalled insights into the issues our industry faces and the necessary solutions needed to drive urgent action.”

The digital experience of CFS+ was first launched in 2020 amidst the challenges imposed by COVID-19. Over 8000 people tuned in live to hear the latest views and engaging dialogues from industry experts, and the content reached over four million people on social media.
