You will assist the Partnerships team which is responsible for securing funding for Global Fashion Agenda initiatives, including its thought leadership publications, impact initiatives and the leading international event on sustainability in fashion, Global Fashion Summit. As Partnerships Intern, you will have a specific focus on supporting the management and prospecting of Global Fashion Agenda’s partners and network. You will assist the team in finding sales leads for its initiatives and events throughout the year. You will work with a team of fundraisers and will help execute the partnership strategy.

Assignments

  • Research potential partners and sponsors
  • Reach out to prospects with cold emailing and cold calling
  • Assist in proposal writing, editing, and sending out proposals
  • Maintain the CRM database with prospects and partners
  • Assist Partnerships team and Executive team in daily management of partners and sponsors
  • Coordination with the wider GFA team on partnerships and sponsorships related tasks
  • Assist with office tasks together with the organisation’s other interns and student workers
  • Support the team in any ad hoc duties and internal administration support

 

 

Attributes

  • Currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Passion for sustainability, writing, marketing, relationship building, networking, and sales/business development
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to research organisations and build a value proposition
  • Extremely organised with high attention to detail and able to multi-task

As an organisation founded and headquartered in Denmark, our internship policy aligns with the Danish policy whereby students receive ECTS points when carrying out an internship as part of their studies to support their development while they continue to be covered by a Danish study grant during their internship. As such, GFA interns gain an acknowledgement of 3,000 DKK per month with a maximum of 15,000 DKK for internships of 6 months’ duration. While we welcome internship applications from outside of Denmark, the gratuity remains consistent with Danish policy.

Job description

You will assist the Public Affairs Team at Global Fashion Agenda.  At GFA we envision a policy framework where legislative and policy initiatives incentivise and appropriately support the fashion industry to become circular and thus more sustainable. Global Fashion Agenda proactively advocates for policy changes and supportive measures that reinforce sustainability targets and prompt policymakers to take informed action to foster necessary change. Our goal is to convene and connect relevant policymakers with fashion industry decision-makers in a collaborative effort to effectively accelerate the fashion industry’s sustainability performance. We aim to reach this goal by educating policymakers about the issues at hand and by ensuring policy developments provide support to the industry’s sustainability efforts.

 

As a Public Affairs Assistant (intern), you will be trusted with areas across the planning and execution of our global policy engagement strategy.

Assignments

  • Assist in the planning and execution of policy activities as part of GFA´s policy engagement strategy (Including in the framework of the forthcoming Global Fashion Summit Copenhagen Edition 2025, Climate Week and COP) and around GFA´s Impact initiatives (Circular Fashion Partnership, Global Circular Fashion Forum, GFA Monitor, etc.).
  • Assist in the monitoring of EU/other funding opportunities around fashion and sustainability.
  • Participate in events, webinars, and other formats to keep up to date on policy developments.
  • Assist in the making of the bi-monthly public affairs newsletter.
  • Assist in the work around the European Commission Pact for Skills.
  • Research and monitoring key policies impacting textiles (i.e., waste, ecodesign, transparency, recycling innovation, overproduction).
  • Help in the update of stakeholder/initiatives mappings and communication material.
  • Support the Public Affairs team in any ad hoc tasks such as setting up meetings, PPTs, etc.
  • Assist with office tasks together with the organisation’s other interns and student workers.

You have…

  • A solid knowledge of global public policies (preferably gained through a previous or an ongoing relevant degree).
  • A good understanding of EU policymaking and institutions.
  • Experience in deciphering and synthesising complex political and legislative texts.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English, in particular excellent writing skills.
  • Skills to interact and engage with external stakeholders diplomatically.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.

Job Description

You will assist the Communications team which is responsible for communicating all Global Fashion Agenda initiatives, including its thought leadership publications, impact initiatives and the leading international event on sustainability in fashion, Global Fashion Summit. As Design Assistant, you will have a specific focus on supporting the design of assets for Global Fashion Agenda’s events, social media platforms, website and reports.

Assignments

  • Support the Visual Communications Manager by translating their visual concepts into practical design assets
  • Assist in the creation of visually engaging communications assets associated with GFA’s partner events (e.g. newsletters, invitations, presentations, advertisements, website elements)
  • Assist with development of graphics for GFA social media platforms
  • Assist with uploading content to web and website graphics
  • Support video editing for social media and on-demand library
  • Assist with office tasks together with the organisation’s other interns and student workers
  • Support the team in any ad hoc duties and internal administration support
  • Support the communications team in preparing for and coordinating the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen, taking place from June 3–5, 2025

We aim to reach this goal by informing policymakers about the issues at hand and by ensuring policy developments that provide support to the industry’s sustainability efforts.

 

As a Public Affairs Manager, you will be trusted with areas across the planning and execution of our global policy engagement strategy.

 

ASSIGNMENTS

  • Manage and support the planning and execution of policy activities as part of GFA´s policy engagement strategy (including in the framework of the forthcoming Global Fashion Summit planned in Copenhagen in June 2025 as well as other relevant events) and around GFA´s Impact programmes and leadership publications (Circular Fashion Partnership, Global Circular Fashion Forum, GFA Monitor, Fashion CEO Agenda, etc.)
  • Manage GFA´s Public Affairs Assistant.
  • Co-develop content for the Global Fashion Summit programme and other GFA events, including panel descriptions, session outlines, roundtable discussion notes etc.
  • Manage and support in PR & Strategic communications: monitoring, understanding and translating complex upcoming political and legislative initiatives impacting fashion sustainability and providing written input into policy-related communications.
  • Research and provide recommendations around key selected policies impacting textiles (i.e. skills, recycling innovation, overproduction).
  • Support policy work on waste related topics, with a particular focus on Extended Producer Responsibility.
  • Support the creation of policy-related educational material, including GFAs policy masterclasses.
  • Regularly update GFA-policy publications including the EU and Americas GFA Policy Matrices.
  • Support relationship-building with government officials, trade associations, NGOs and other key influential organisations to anticipate risks and opportunities for GFA.
  • Continuously update stakeholder/initiatives mappings and communication material.
  • Support the Public Affairs team in any other ad hoc tasks

YOU

  • have 5+ years of professional experience in public affairs
  • have a very good knowledge of global public policies
  • have previous experience in advocacy based on deciphering complex political and legislative texts
  • are fluent in English and have, in particular, excellent writing skills
  • master interaction with external stakeholders being diplomatic and solutions-oriented
  • pay great attention to detail, have excellent organisational skills, structure and a high level of accuracy
  • have interest in working in a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment
  • are a self-motivated, outgoing team player who works independently on own files and take on strong responsibility and ownership for given assignments
  • have a strong passion for the fashion industry and sustainability and are ready to have some travel activity
