In 2023 Collina Strada and Renewcell; Nicole McLaughlin and PUMA; and Heliot Emil and Upcycle Labs rose to the challenge of upcycling, pushing the boundaries of innovative design by bringing their unique design visions to life through creative upcycling solutions. The 2023 Designer Challenge was presented by Smiley.
In 2021 Miguel, Grammy® award-winning singer, songwriter, and actor joined forces with Sunshine Bertrand to explore sustainable materials and production methods for sunglasses.
In 2020:
- Priya Ahluwalia, Creative Director & Founder of Ahluwalia, partnered with Avery Dennison to explore circular systems through digital labeling.
- Jide Osifeso, Creative Director, Designer & Founder of Hymne, collaborated with Parley for the Oceans to rethink production using responsible fibres..
