With a 15-year foundation as the leading forum for sustainability in fashion, Global Fashion Summit is synonymous with the sustainability zeitgeist. The pivotal anniversary offers a special moment to not only take stock of the evolution of the sector and the progress made so far, but, most importantly, look ahead at what actions must urgently be implemented in the near term, and the gaps that must be filled to accelerate industry transformation. With deadlines for pledges made over the previous 15 years looming, the industry must now implement further actions that ambitiously address societal and environmental impacts and challenge the existing paradigm.

This landmark event will attract over 1000 stakeholders from the fashion sector, adjacent industries, policymakers, solution providers, and more. The Summit’s extensive programme will be structured around unlocking solutions to fashion’s biggest sustainability barriers, no matter where an organisation is on its sustainability journey. Sessions include: ‘Fragmented Futures: Fashion’s Policy Agenda’, ‘Luxury, Leather, and Land’, ‘Towards a Binding Agreement on Wages, ‘Pathways to Indigenous Partnership’, and ‘Ending Oversupply’. Building on the impact of previous Summits, the 2024 edition will also host more action-oriented roundtable meetings than ever before. The closed-door sessions bring together curated groups of high-level stakeholders to openly discuss relevant barriers, share learnings, and build collaborations to support the implementation of solutions. Roundtables will address topics such as: ‘Scaling Circular Textile Systems’, ‘Pay Equity Interventions in European Value Chains’, and ‘Impactful Influence’.

The Summit will also present the Innovation Forum, a curated exhibition of leading sustainable solutions. Summit attendees can meet with exhibitors covering the entire value chain – from innovative materials to end-of-use solutions. Innovation Forum Matchmaking will enable small and large fashion businesses to advance their sustainability journey, by providing the unique opportunity to be matched with relevant solution providers. The Innovation Forum will be toured by Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark on 22 May.

Federica Marchionni, CEO, Global Fashion Agenda, says: “15 years since its inception, the 2024 Global Fashion Summit will offer a moment to reenergise industry efforts: taking stock of change that has happened and can happen if we unlock it collectively. We are already in a climate crisis and the age of concepts and commitments is over – it is time to see near-term goals be implemented. We are delighted to have such a pioneering group of partners and speakers joining us for the Summit and we are honoured to be graciously joined by Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark once more. By convening fashion’s most creative vanguards, you can expect rich dialogues and case studies that will leverage the next level for our industry.”
